What would happen if the three gorges dam collapsed?
the three gorges dam is the largest dam on earth, and it cost like a billion so if it breaks how much could it cost?
what would it do?
how many would it kill?
It would be an economic disaster for China, similar to what might happen for the US. if the Hoover Dam and Parker Dam and Glen Canyon Dam and others on the Colorado River were to collapse or the Aswan Dam in Egypt or other giant dams around the world.
There would also be a return to the frequent massive floods (now being controlled to a great extent by the dam) that has killed millions of people many times.
Therefore it is highly unlikely to happen as greater technology and safety features have been built into it than previous large dams.
