What is a good way to break into the small community of voice acting? I am a young actor who has great tools and experienced limited success (toured a play to
Shanghai, done professional Shakespeare, regional theater etc...) I live in Atl--home of cartoon network--and would love to be the voice of a cartoon. I'm having my first child and want to do some art for the youth. Thanks
1st, Broadcasting school.
Look up voiceover workshops and take a few.

Put together a CD of all the samples of voices you do from comedic children's voices to movie theater guy. 10-20 seconds each one. Put together a little press kit of yourself with a headshot and an actor's resume (NEVER INCLUDE BACKGROUND OR EXTRA WORK!) Send the kit to Cartoon Network. (after you've found out who to send it to.... "hi are you hiring new voice talent? who can I send my kit to? Thanks!"
